Welcome to the London Open Squash Championship
My name is Zubair Jahan Khan, former World No. 7, and I am proud to be the founder and organiser of this prestigious tournament. I launched the London Open in 2007 at the Cumberland Lawn Tennis & Squash Club with a vision to create a platform where both upcoming talent and top professionals could showcase their skills.
Over the past 19 years, the London Open has grown into one of the UK’s most respected independent squash events, attracting world-class players from across the globe.
Squash is more than my career—it is my family’s legacy. I come from a proud squash dynasty that has shaped the sport internationally:
- Mr. Haji Mumtaz Khan – Co-founder of squash in Pakistan, alongside legends Hashim Khan, Azam Khan and Roshan Khan.
- Shahjahan Khan (late) – Carried the family’s passion with pride and dedication.
- Hiddy Jahan – Former World No. 2.
- Zarak Jahan – Former World No. 7.
- Wazir Jahan – Founder of squash in Iran.
